We here at Dream Fantasy Lineups have combed through this year’s list of eligible NFL players to come up with our personal list of the top fantasy football players of 2016. Shown below are our top players at each position for season-long leagues along with a quick snippet describing our picks. Some of our top players may be a surprise to some, but we are extremely confident in what we have generated for our preseason rankings of the NFL’s top fantasy performers for 2016.
Feel free to use our list as a cheat sheet on draft day for your league, and also share with your friends who are also looking for alternative insights for the 2016 NFL season.
Cam Newton may very well be the quintessential top QB this season. Look for Andrew Luck to bounce back into the fantasy star we knew him as pre-2015. Our top value pick may very well be Matt Ryan: he will be available late and should easily provide top 10 QB value this season.
While Adrian Peterson is climbing the age ladder pretty rapidly, look for one of the most consistent fantasy performers of his generation continue to be the top HB this season. David Johnson may be the “hot pick” this season, we feel there are at least 5 other HB’s that are safer bets. The sleeper of this group we have pegged is Matt Jones. He will be the workhorse of the Washington Redskins and should be fed the rock early and often.
Top top 3 WR on our list are interchangeable. Our favorite of the 3, however, is Julio Jones. He does everything well: catching, route-running, body control, size, and touchdown upside. We see Mike Evans as having huge upside this year with the continued development of Jameis Winston and the team’s offensive scheme. Kelvin Benjamin is coming back from injury, but should have a huge season for the Carolina Panthers and their explosive offense.
|Odell Beckham Jr.||NYG||8|
Not much to say here other than Rob Gronkowski. He won’t be affected by Tom Brady’s suspension as much as the other players on NE’s squad. We have Jordan Reed rated lower than most others, but the injury risk is real with him: proceed with caution. Eric Ebron should have a substantial uptick in production with Calvin Johnson retiring.
The Seattle Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL and there is no debating that. The Kansas City Chiefs will benefit from a pretty weak division and the same can be said for the New England Patriots.

Stephen Gostkowski is consistently rated as the top fantasy kicker in the NFL. Justin Tucker is also a great pick due to his deep accuracy and the nature of Baltimore’s offense.
